Rules for organizing gambling in the Russian Federation: are changes expected in the near future?
Literally a few months later (by 2021) the rules of organization and work of the gambling market in Russia can be changed. Such a statement was made by lawyer M. Lepshchikova. At the same time, it does not exclude that new provisions will repeat existing ones. There is no complete clarity about the new requirements that will be presented to the Gambling Market of the Russian Federation at the moment.
On March 19 of this year, a decree of the Russian government was published, from which it follows that some rules, provisions and acts lose force. For example, from January 1 of next year, legal acts governing the activities of bookmakers and some other organizers of gambling will be canceled. At the same time, the Government of the Russian Federation intends to adopt new rules for the work of bookmakers through new acts and decisions.
According to the lawyer, you should not expect cardinal changes. At least in the area of online gambling related to virtual casinos. In this direction, no changes are expected. The main changes will affect the bookmakers. At the same time, ordinary users and BC customers will not even notice this. Of course, changes in the regulatory regulation will be, but how it will not look clear yet.
On the other hand, the budget of the Russian Federation was seriously injured due to collapse of oil and gas prices, as well as restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemia. Since the legalization of the online casino allows you to receive good income in the form of tax deductions, it may very well be that the sidelines are already raised about the licensing of virtual clubs in Russia. Of course, while gamers should not hope for cardinal changes, but, as they say, "in this life you can expect anything."
